Heidi B. had a problem. Her horse Woody was out on free lease for the past few years. She went to check on him this summer and found him in very bad shape.

Amul was in the same pasture as Woody, and very emaciated. She took BOTH horses home as the owner had basically abandoned them and she couldn’t just leave him there. Heidi has a large farm, and lots of pasture and “thought” at the time that these two would gain weight once out on field.

They were, however, beyond needing just grass, and their teeth are horrendous. They both drop and dribble grain and quid hay and grass.

OHAAT has awarded Heidi with a grant to get the teeth floated on all 3. Funds are pending for feed/hay as a resource is being looked into. We look forward to seeing these gents back in their former glory!
