The wild horse population is in danger of extinction if the BLM (Bureau of Land Management) is not held in check from rounding up, possibly euthanizing and/or placing thousands of horses in “long term holding facilities” across the US. The BLM is funded by the American taxpayer and should answer the many concerns and questions we all have about their mismanagement of the wild horse population. There is no long term plan for the thousands of horses in these holding facilities and with the increasingly high price of gas, hay and feed, the cost of upkeep is enormous. This is truly a debacle when there are thousands of acres of PUBLIC land available for them to roam freely and care for themselves as nature intended. But, the crux of the matter are the ranchers who want more and more land for their grazing livestock, removing the wild horse which is in their way.
